I bought a ODB2 wifi adaptor from eBay, the link is in an earlier post, but it doesn't give me full access to every module. The BMWhat adaptor does as per other forum members and can be purchased through their website.

I think I need to find some people around the Manchester area and do the same as you. Nice little earner while also saving others money buying the app & adaptor.

Could you use this to stop the angel eyes dimming when you turn on the headlights?
I would get this app just for that! Have a MY10(lci) e92 and a iPhone 5s |

There was an option that I turned up from high to very high regarding the angel eyes. Not sure if this would stop them dimming. I will check exactly what the option is in the morning when I plug it in again

There are about 3 options that you can change the brightness of them on, one was definitely DRL, and one was maybe standing or welcome lights, and the other maybe sidelights. I turned them all to low and then all to very high and took pictures.
I will look again tomorrow after work and make a note of exactly what they are, and I will have a play around and change some of them to low/high to see if any control the dimming Here's the comparison of 'low' and 'very high' Apologies for the iphone photo |

BMWhat is an excellent must have app IMO. Got it along with a cheap Bluetooth obd adapter not long after buying my e92 so I could code folding mirrors. Haven't bothered playing with much else on there.

And the difference between those two above is 'low' and 'very high' There are more options inbetween and they were originally set on 1 below 'very high' I have bi-xenon lights which I think have a H8 bulb for the angels I will try and get a comparison of what it was originally set on and 'very high' but it might be hard to tell the difference without a better camera. Good thing with it being wireless is you can be stood at the front of the car when you hit code, so you can watch it all happen |

I suppose anyone who doesn't trust themselves could always get on touch with someone who has the app/adaptor |

I'm sure I saw an option on there last night for coding out bulb checks on the rear lights. Not sure if this would code the LCI rears. I would need to find someone with a freshly installed set and then check.
