Yo. Yah, we're out there but spread out!
I'm over on the NW side by La Cantera. Maybe we'll get another meet set up again soon to enjoy the nice weather!! |

Well, anytime anyone is down for a meet, I'm free any weekend... when are you all free? Anyone interested in meeting up?

What's up... new to the area. Well, got here in Oct but I've been busy getting settled. I got my windows tinted at Mothers but the dam dot matrix create these air pockets. Anyone else have this problem? I got the top of the line film too (allegedly)....

Yep... that has happened to me multiple times... First time was at BMW San Antonio, and I had them re-do it, but they still couldn't do a good job. I finally went to a guy in Austin (BMW Austin) and he did a pretty good job... there are a few places where it's not COMPLETELY flush with the dot matrix, but it's definitely a good job... I don't know anyone in San Antonio who can do as good of a job...

Yeah, CDV was one of my first mods about 1 year into having the car... I was having this problem shifting where every time I let the clutch out, the car would kind of jerk back and forth as if the clutch was engaging and disengaging a few times before it would completely engage... I ended up having the feather the clutch quite severely every time to get it to shift smoothly. Now, it sounds like an amateur mistake, but by this time, I had had about 8 years of stick-shift experience under my belt (Miata and G35), so I was no noob. I jumped on the CDV mod and it just makes the gearbox shift more "normal." You can live without a modified CDV, but for the price, no reason why you shouldn't do it...
