Terminator, thanks. So no need to add the VO $options to my CIC? Just the CAS and FRM modules then? I'll try again, i know i've done it this way but perhaps i missed something! =)
keep you posted!

Okay, confirm me what condition my car should be in. Running, key in, or key in and push start/stop without pushing the brake? i notice my results vary depending on what i'm coding that i have to be in various stages sometimes. odd?
This is whats happening. 1) I push start/stop, make sure that in INPA that the battery and ignition are both "ON". I then close INPA and open NCS 2) I load a profile called Revtor's expert profile 3) I select chassis E89, no FG or FA appears yet. 4) I select VIN/ZCS/FA, still no FG or FA appears yet. 5) I need to select ZCS/FA/ f.ECU for the FG or CA to appear. 6) Now I did "Back" 7) Selected FA And NOW it works! It allowed me to enter in everything in my CAS !! wow. I see MEDIA in my ECU list now! What I did before was doing #5, then #7, skipping #6 (back). So, I added a crap load into my CAS VO, Media ECU now appears, but unable to communicate with it. I can confirm the adaptor is connected, there is RED lights coming out of the MOST plug on the Combox. I tried a USB in the black and blue connection to my snap-in, but still no power sent to my snap-in adaptor (iPhone not receiving a charge). I do have that E90.SSD that I heard is used to flash the combox? I'm not there yet. I'd like to get my CIC to show phone again! Still can't do it. I've edited my .TRC file after reading my CIC for certain options to "aktiv", did a SG_CODERIN to the CIC, and nothing different appears on the CIC. Here I'm wondering if my emulator is causing issues forbidding me to update the CIC? I can confirm I see a snap-in diagram on the CIC media screen. But no power at the snap-in. Fan doesn't run, no charging, etc. Whats the purpose of the MOST junction box on the car? Is it only for audio or does it send power? I haven't concentrated at all on the most connections..

THe most bus is a communication line between everything connected to it. It also feeds audio from the combox to the cic so it can amplify the signal and send it to your speakers or to a amp if you have logic 7.
You shouldn't need a ssd file as this is only needed if you plan to put a e90 combox in a e60 which never had a combox. Once you added the values to your vo did you recode the cic? It's strange that you had bluetooth working till you tried codeing the cic or did I miss something? |

Thanks for clarifying the most connection.
As for the cic. I did a read in it and went through the trc file to change options to aktiv then did a sg-coderin. Telephone still won't show up. I'll provide my new vo$ list this morning. Do I need to program the cas vo$ to my cic also? |

no you update the vo in the cas then when you programme cic it uses your vo from cas to make the changes.
one thing to look at with the combox is check your optical connector. you should have red light on one side of the combox connector and opposite on the cable. so you have a loop... I can try and help if you a good wifi connection (or decent internet connection on your coding laptop)and a programme called teamviewer. |

So I noticed a few things today.
1) In the settings/sound menu, I see telephone settings for volume mic + speaker. Good! But no "Telephone" in the main menu. 2) In the settings menu, I now have a "software update" button 3) In the RADIO, I cannot add "presets" but worked before I played with it. =( I tried understanding the most junction box today. I'm a networking guy and the loop system isnt making sense. I'm going to read up more. Basically I see 2 most cables running to the front of the car and 4 running to the trunk. 2 per LRU (sdars and combox) . I assume the 2 most cables from the front should be receiving a signal from the trunk! Does each unit loop back to itself or feed into the next box? I just received my black USB wire today (with black ends for the combox). So now I have both USB's one for the AUX/USB and one for the snap-in. What I don't understand is how are these long enough to run from the trunk to the center console? How do you run it under the rear seat to the center console? I really tried putting it under the carpet, friggin impossible. Need to remove the console ? Thanks for your offer. It's been notes by the way! I have a good wifi and use team viewer before and is installed. Last edited by jezzy; 07-23-2014 at 08:33 PM.. |

hi there, I ran my usb cables under the rear seats and then under the bit of carpet the centre console, its do-able with a bit of blood sweat and tears...
I got a piece of thick electrical wire and got that through first , then taped the usb cables to the wire then pulled slowly till it came through.....it did take me some time to achieve this as its really tight... as for the most connections.....if 1 module combox or sat tuner is wrongly connected or has no power you have broke the most loop so nothing can communicate on that bus and nothing will operate. heres a quick diagram I just threw together : I don't know if the combox or sat tuner has the directional arrows on the connectors....I know items like the dension gateway does. I think you said your loom came pre-wired so I would assume the connectections are good at the combox and sat tuner and you need to concentrate on the most block which you altered for the sat tuner in one of your pics.... this is possibly why you don't have usb power or Bluetooth. |

Yes, do not worry of the cables coming from the front. Focus on the most distribution block. Just need to include the cables on the most block. It will be a little tedious but what I did for my USB retrofit was to literally trace a single path by looking at all cables from trunk to the block. The diagram terminator2k4 posted would've been great then .

omfg! we've got something here. Terminator, thank you. I can finally see the red light coming from all the most connections. Now, my iPhone keeps charging on/off like power is cycling.

it stopped doing it. my most junction block is a little beat up with all the tampering i've done, but i've moved them around and now they're locking properly. Now, it's "green charging" on the phone.
i've removed my emulator behind the cic to ensure it's not causing me issues. I've tried enabling telephone/bt, etc.. and still won't appear on the head unit. but we're getting somewhere!

yes I think the white one is for your Bluetooth antenna, you will possibly have to cut one of the bits on the combox connector to get it to fit.

btw, i'm an idiot. know why nothing was working? i never plugged in my MOST connections into my head unit between the emulator and head unit. your OEM harness plugs into the adaptor (including the most wires) but there's no most wires from the adaptor to the head unit. DOH! I just unplugged it after seeing nothing was working again, and realized it. `no wonder for the past weeks i was unable to get it to work.
Still though, i can't sync my bluetooth to my iPhone. Armrest usb charging right, it keeps charging/uncharging for at least 8 times before remaining on. Odd!
