You are in Marlboro? Come to Auburn, MA on Saturday - I'll show you in person at the dyno day. It's painfully easy and simple. PM me |

Intriguing. Would you be able to use your existing (e.g. Dinan) flash as your stock flash and then use the EZ Flash to upload and switch to a racing (race gas) optimized flash for when you really want to get your freak on?

i found some more info on another site http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=...70ad9bc45cdf98 (click the first link)
this thing seems pretty cool. from reading thru it seems as if they only modify certain parameters of the ECU and dont copy/write the whole ECU over. im guessing the dealer would be able to see that the ECU has been modified if you go back to stock?? cant wait to see some n54 dynos!! Hopefully this is the flash tuner that we've been waiting for for so long. If the tune proves to be comparable to GIAC and the flash process is solid, I would pick this up in a heart beat!

Again this does not seem to be a complete flash (you cannot flash completely the N54 in 3 min without a power supply) and as mentioned before this solution might only change certain tables. Think both O.E and EZ should chime in and provide the right true information here for the community.

I will get dyno's posted as soon as I can get my car dyno'd. Hopefully in the next two weeks some time, I'm busy as hell right now.

Hopefully this will help answer some questions that people might have
When you take your car in to jeremy, he plugs his computer through the OBD cord and takes reading of your stock ECU (takes approximately 45 minutes), after that he saves the STOCK ECU on his computer under the customers name/car so he knows what to look for in case something happens, next he flashes the car (another 30 minutes i believe) and after its all finished and done, he than takes it for a spin around the block to make sure that everything is fine and there are no error codes, it takes approximately 3 days for the ECU to fully adjust (not 100% sure, but thats what i remember him saying) Here is what happens on the E-Z flash I think (this is just my speculation) He puts the stock ECU and tuned version of your ECU on the E-z flash tune, so when you plug it into your OBD cord at home, you can choose either if you want to go back to the stock version or the tuned version. Seems pretty easy to me and about flashing back to stock in 3 minutes seems a bit fast to be true, but i think it can be, because he already took the time to read your ECU in the 1st place. Overall Gintani/OE tuning know what they are doing, i wouldn't be worried |

so we have no data other than a claimed 70 crank HP increase? So i'm to expect around 320whp-335whp or so? What boost levels etc?

+1, i've never seen any dyno sheets from OE tuning. i mean, i've driven/seen what they can do, but proven numbers would be great to see.

14psi this is the mid "level" flash the stock exhaust flash. There is one higher boost file for catless cars. 2008 135I with "TUNER PROOF software" Car had: BMS DCI Some prototype front mount kit Forge diverters Stock exhaust. Baseline 308whp, tuned file 386whp This was the first pass, the boost "waving" in the midrange goes away after 2-3 pulls. Boost adaptation. The top end is insane compared to piggyback options.
