Help me pick out my car...
Hey guys,
I am about to order a 335i coupe (so excited!!!). I test drove the automatic and nearly crapped my pants. The thing brought so much joy. Anyway, on to my dilemnas: 1) I am unsure if I want an auto or manual. I want the thrill of driving the manual, but I also have to factor in the convenience and amazingness of the new auto. Basically, I just want opinions from people who have driven both or peoples opinions on their choice. Don't flame me, this isn't a which is better, i just want to hear peoples opinions to really see what hits close to home. 2) Any other options any of you find really worth it and why? The way I have it planned out: Montego Blue Black Interior Brown burl wood OR gray poplar wood (anyone have pics of their interior with gray poplar?) P/P S/P Navi USB Cold Weather Give me some input, im about to make a decision that i will have to live with for the next few years so i want to make the right choices! thanks in advance. if anyone ahs any pics of montego blue or black interior with gray poplar please post, i'd love to c them. |

Does your mother still pick out your clothing too? Like seriously, why do people post crap like this. Only YOU can answer what fits your needs. A search will also reveal a plethora of Montego Blue photos.
p.s You're having chicken for dinner tonight and I'm sending you a private message on how you should cut your hair. -Love mom. |

Comfort Access is worth getting.
But unfortunately your thread is doomed. Sorry. |

No but your questions do not add anything to the discussion either. They have been asked and answered thousands of times. Get the manual, they are fun as hell to drive. Get the Montego, it is a good looking color. Get the Gray Poplar, it looks better with a black interior. By better I mean "sportier" and by your exterior color selection, that is most likely the look you are going for. Get the comfort access, it is cool. Have the chicken tonight, it is good for you. Loose the faux-hawk, they are played. |

Pick out which color shirt (green, red or green/red?) I should wear to the company x'mas party, and I'll pick out your car for you.

get the manual, then you have extra money (not paying for the auto premium price) to buy a ssk and change out different shift knobs

I'd get Comfort Access. I'm pissed I didn't get it on mine after I saw a friend get it on his. Very convenient and just sweet.
I love the Auto w/paddles. Great response, has that F1 feel, and good for any others that drive your car (significant other, family member, etc). The rest you're on your own.

I think Comfort Access is overrated. Its great when it works right which is only 80% of the time. It is really frustrating the 20% of the time it doesn't work. Forum members persuaded me to get it. I guess for $500 it is not really that expensive. BUT, it can't be retro fitted. BTW, get the gray poplar wood instead of the BURL. Also just go with the heated seats and forget the rest of the cold weather package. The headlight washers are a PIA.

I knew where this thread would go as soon as I read it. I have to agree, I don't understand why someone would want the opinion of someone they've never met before on such a large purchase.
Another way to look at it is like this: A 3-series with the worst combination is better than not having a 3-series. |
