Canadians....What did you get for Christmas?
Man, the holiday's are awesome but I'm friggin tired....
Just wondering what everyone got? This was my year for giving and not expecting much. Got the wife two pairs of Uggs from my last trip to Detroit and my daughter got a bunch of new outfits from me. Spread the wealth to my in-laws and my parents with more goodies from across the border. But..... Little did I know that I would be paid back for my generosity! Looked like I was just getting a simple Penguin hoodie from the wife and daughter but I was told to check the pockets. Inside was a card and a note saying that I'm now "allowed" to upgrade my e90!!!! Woo hoo! But I'm going to wait for a bit, BMW finally fixed the issues with my car stalling and I still love the 330i. But now I can either get a 335i now or wait to see what a 335d or even an M3 sedan will be. I made it a point to say that she didn't place a price limit in the card. I'm assuming she wants me to upgrade from a 3 to a 5 series for more room for my little one, but something tells me to say with the 3 series family. Oh well....WHAT DID EVERYONE GET! PS - If someone in Canada got an iPhone I hate you!

Santa brought the wife a backup sensor alarm for HER BMW. This is a factory option for $400, but Princess Auto sells them for $36. They are wired into the backup lights and beeps faster the closer the car gets to an obstacle.
Chapter 2 Dec 27. Today I found out that this will not work in BMW's. It is incompatible with the sensing that detects burned out light bulbs. It might be possible to hook it up using a relay, but I didn't try. Tomorrow I'm off to a jewellery store! Last edited by Rossland; 12-27-2007 at 04:26 PM.. Reason: new info |

That was for my wife's birthday in October. I got an unlocked one on eBay from some seller in Montreal. He didn't charge any tax.
I got my wife a Bose QuietComfort 3 noise cancelling headphone (she does a lot of business travel) and I got a Bose Wave Music System (basically a Bose radio with CD) from her. It was a coincident but Dr. Bose laughed all the way to the bank!

Prices on eBay for unlocked 8GB models seem to be around $450 - $500. You can walk into any AT&T store in the US and buy a locked one for $400. If you're technically inclined you can hack it yourself, but I paid someone $50 to unlock mine. I also won a Nokia N95 recently. It's OK, but I can't get it to work with my car's Bluetooth connection long enough to finish a conversation.

Has anyone put a deposit down on a e92 M3? And is there a estimated date for the M3 sedan?
