got lucky i guess(gva)
Saw a puddle of coolant on the street and when i turned on the car the low coolant light went on. Took it to a reputable indy shop and found out the waterpump was leaking.
Lucky i was home and day off. Couldve been stranded. I usually hear stories where engine over heats then limp mode. Am i one of those rare cases that get a leaky waterpump? How much locally did you guys pay for a new pump and thermo with labor? |

Leaking pump could just be a seal or something. Whats the KM's on your car?
I plan on replacing mines as preventative maintenance just hit 80K (if it doesn't die on me first) in the coming months. It seems like an easy DIY so it'll cost me $500 in parts. From what I read on here it can run you 800-$1k+ at an indy for parts + labor |

Wrap is ok. Just one little tiny corner has crinkled. Gotta try to fix it myself with a heat gun and hopefully I don't make it worse, haha. Hmmm thanks for the reminder, I'm going to do that right now!
