Cleaning MAF removed code P1447
My car started to throw code p1447 after a performance track day. I got the code using the Torque app and a bt obdii scanner bought off Amazon. It came time to change out the airfilter so I cleaned the MAF while I was at it and ever since the code has disappeared. It's been two months and the code has not reappeared. I went to scan again but now my obd scanner is kaput.
Thought I'd let everyone know. Give it a try if you have this code. |

Take a look here. From various searches it looks like this issue - P1447 Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage (DM-TL) Pump Too High During Switching.

it's not a tank you can easily replace. the tank in reference to the code is the gas tank.
it has nothing at all to do with your MAF - maybe the gas cap wasn't screwed on all the way? anyway it probably didn't hurt anything to clean it, but it was just a coincidence that your code went away. One thing with generic scanners is they don't really tell you the details of what a code is, a BMW specific tool is a lot less confusing. I use Torque all the time and it can't pick up a lot of the codes that are possible. |
