Rubber Door Seel Popping Off on Coupe
I have a rubber piece that has popped off on both sides of my door area. This is a piece that is not connected to the door. It is attached to the rear portion of the door opening, by the B pillar (if I had one on my convertible.)
Here are a couple pictures. There are two little plastic knobs that do not protrude easily. Not sure if they unscrew or you are supposed to pull on them. Then the rubber piece has two little eyelets for the knobs to pop into, but this is not as easy as it looks. Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to pop them back into place. I had the dealership do it once but I think this issue will happen regularly and I'd rather just know how to fix it myself since it is a poor design and would hate to run to the dealership each time to get it resolved. Any thoughts how best to pop the rubber back? Thank you

I have to head over to the dealership this week (had a plastic part on the rear passenger side of my bumper pop out when I hit a pothole this weekend. Now I have a nice hole in my bumper so I need a new trim piece (it covers a camera for the PDC.) I'll see what the service guy does to get the rubber piece back in a report back so others know how it is done.

Any update you can give? Parts, cost? In my case the head of one of those plastic clips broke off. Have a feeling I'm going to need to stock up. |
