Stupid question about the mods for E92/93
Hey gang,
I am sorry, new here... tried searching but couldn't find a definite answer. Would mods from 335i coupe fit 335i convertible? Your coupes looks soooo good and I was wondering if the convertible owners face issues when they want to mod their beemers due to incompatibility? Thanks! |

A couple of simple E90/92 ones have worked for me on the convertible -- the leather ZHP short shift knob (best $60 I have ever spent on a car) and the M-stitched steering wheel replacement. Not sure about engine or suspension stuff.

For exterior mods, I would gather, anything below the beltline works for both E92 and E93s e.g. wheels, suspension, body kits etc. Same should apply to most mechanicals and electrics.

Most stuff works on the E93 except the obvious stuff - bumpers and rocker panel valance are the same, wheels are the same, engine is all the same (including strut brace) and exhaust fits fine. Really the only things that are specific are the truck spoiler needs to be an E93 piece and if your ordering a replacement of the wood/aluminum console trim it has the cutout for the roof button.

Uh - no and no - trunk is 100% different from the coupe to the convertible as the trunk is what opens and is shaped to fit the roof - you cannot do any mods to the E93 trunk and no E92 spoilers will fit an E93 trunk lid
