TPMS Inactive after wheel swap

So I installed a set of 5 series rims on my E90 and now my TPS keeps turning off and saying inactive.

I have tried to recalibrate them but they will just trip and turn off again.

Does BMW use the same TPMS sensors for all their wheels or is each series different?

Mine is a 2009. The wheels are from a 2012

Thanks

The 2010+ TPMS sensors are different. The sensors from the 2012 won't work on your 09. From what I understand they are the same across the lines though.

Wheels from a 2012 are the Beru RDE012(LCI). Is your 09 a pre lci? or lci? if you are a pre lci you would have wanted BERU RDE008.

TPMS sensors vary from year to year and sometimes even from model of car in the same year.

It's an LCI. I'm going to just swap the sensors out because I know they work. Thanks for all your help.
