Battery Charger
I've just been trying to do a MHD backend flash and ran into trouble after around 6%, the battery charger I was using was broken.
Anyone got good recommendation for a battery charger or anyone in London have one I can borrow?

C-Tek battery chargers at and above 3.5 amps are the ones to go for. They are really good and BMW also sells them for a much higher price after putting their own name on them.

Can such a charger actually supply enough power to keep the voltage up while flashing?
Surely the ECU and associated in-car electronics that are all powered up are going to be drawing more than 3.5A... I would have thaught you'd want something capable of outputting in the region of 20A to properly ensure your not relying on the cars battery... |

You'll be fine using a regular charger like a CTEK, just make sure the battery is fully charged and of good condition before you start, and have it charging whilst working.

Thanks for the help. Managed to do without a charger in the end!
Reason it stopped at 6% was because I forgot to switch to airplane mode until it was already writing.
