Simple upgrade for Professional Radio system?
Hi!
I receive my brand new 320d with Professional Radio and I really don't like the sound of it. What can easily be done to have a better sound? Any bass/trebble adjustment helps? Any easy to change speakers? What have you done without spending lots of cash and keeping the car with an original look? Thanks! Luciano |

How much are you looking to spend?
How electrically/mechanically inclined are you? Basically you've got a few options.. 1. You can remove the subs under the front seats and upgrade them (and/or run a seperate amp to those speakers under the seat). 2. You can add a sub in the trunk, seperate amp, just make sure you do it right, i.e. LOC, LVT, etc. 3. Use stock oem amp, and upgrade subs under seats. 4. Add a bazooka tube in your rear seat, tap in from subs under seats. 5. Change out your entire system for MB Quartz and a Boston Acoustic setup. |

I don't need more power, but would like to have a more balanced power. I don't have a strict budget - I could spend 500 EUR but more if I feel that the improvement is interesting.
From your options I would prefere to avoid having a sub in the trunk, so I'm considering the options #1 and/or #3. However I'm a little bit lost here... 1. I read somewhere that European cars don't have a amplifier, is this correct? 2. If I just do one of the things, which one is the best? Having a new amp driving the original subs under seats or keeping the amp and upgrading the subs? 3. Do you have any suggestions for amplifiers and subs under seats? Thanks! |

2. Your Prosessional radio drives directly 6 speakers right now. So you can try this upgrade: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=blaupunkt 3. Replace your underseat subs with SWS-8 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163804 and use the Blaupunkt amp in the link above to drive them. Plug 'n Play... |

The factory method requires mounting a mulf 2 hi module adding
some wiring and some fancy coding as BMW does not allow coding of usb to 06 model. This will only give you usb and not wireless bluetooth streaming. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...5#post19088745 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=bluetooth Also you should really start your own thread rather than bringing and ancient thread back up. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...5#post19088745 The cheap way to get streaming is through a aftermarket device. |
