MHD stage 1 / Track car
Hi all,
Quick question, I would like to use the MHD Stage 1 (non-plus) meaning; Stage 1 Maps Eight maps included Stage 1 and Stage 1+ FMIC (upgraded FMIC recommended). Each with 4 octane Variants (US OCT ACN91, 91, 93, 95 / RON 93, 95, 98, 102) using a peak of 15 to 17 PSI tapering to 10-12 PSI at redline. Stage 1 up to 360HP / 520NM I have already upgraded to a very big intercooler, oil thermostat and cooler, charge pipe, stock airbox with K&N filter (in Germany one cannot simply upgrade the induction). So she currently runs nice and cool. Is there any risk associated with the stage 1 MHD? I just want a minor boost, my target is to beat the e92 m3 at the track here :-). Thanks! |

you mention you're in Germany, so i believe your gasoline is based off RON rather than Octane. so long as the RON is correct or superior when filling up, shouldn't be any issues unless you have maintenance items that needs fixed, like plugs/coils, or weak fuel pumps. or leaking injector seals. etc. make sure all those items are functioning properly using a data log prior to flashing, so long as under WOT HPFP is above i believe 1500 and LPFP above 50 fueling should be good.
Also make sure you don't have any oil leaks, higher boost means more leaks from higher crankcase pressure. and if it leaks from the Oil Filter Housing Gasket, it can weaken your belt cause it to shred, and your front seal to eat the belt. more power will just make this issue more exaggerated. |
