*Socal Danger Zones*
I think it would be helpful to start a thread where we share general areas where we get those fun "fix it" tickets... so we know what to look out for when we're driving around.
I'll start with mine La Brea area near Grove...had a bike cop pull a full u-turn to give me my fix-it ticket for "headlight out" (DRL, which aren't required) If this thread takes off, we'll start a Norcal one too |

101 between Camarillo and Oxnard is one of the heaviest ticketed areas on the 101.

I've commuted everywhere in SoCal, and lived almost everywhere. Here are some locations where the CHP is always looking to nail you:
- Any toll road, especially on the often steep downhill portions, such as the North 241 from the toll plaza to the 91, and the south 241 from the toll plaza to the 261. - The 405 between the 5 and Culver - The 5 through Camp Pendleton down through North SD County - The 15 from Temecula to Escondido - The 210 from Pasadena up through Sylmar - The 133 Northbound when you come out of Laguna Canyon right before the 405 |

WHENEVER you go to LAX, they have cameras that are on you as soon as you come in and if you don't have front plates your guaranteed a ticket unless your lucky. |

I commute regularly down the 405S from Culver down to the 5S past Avery.. and every day, I get regular Ka alerts... so there's always a cop hiding or pulling someone over.. So, don't speed down the 5S

There's usually a CHP cruiser hiding at the end of the tunnel on the right on the 105-W/405-S interchange.

CHP usually hide in the 405 north by culver and jeffery arround 12pm in the bushes. CHP hides on the on ramps on jamboree going south/west from the market place to the district CHP hides on the on ramp to the 405 noth off bristol sometimes by south coast plaza Shady canyon and sunny hill in irvine cops hide to see for complete stops. UCI Campus police hide in the dark by appartments near In n out and taco bell IVC Campus police: are a bunch of dicks and bitches, got a ticket on campus dropping off a friend. Got a speeding ticket on crown valley going sout west right before the crest of the hill at the ocean by PCH 5 South by the 74 (Ortega Highway) down hills staigt a way CHP hides in the center divider **NEW*** COP sightings on Newport Coast drive going east up the hill from pch to irvine/73 right past the hotel hiding in the view rest stop. there used to never be police but they are there. |
