SL-5's VS VT996's
I know the price difference is HUGE, but why are the sl's so much more, is it just the brand, or is the quality of the products that much different. Are the vt's a good choice or should i save up and get the sl-5's.
VT996-$899 SL-5-$4000

both great wheels
BIG difference though! vortex are 1pc cast wheels DPE are a 2 or 3pc forged wheel A few advantages of forged (there are many): Lighter weight Custom offsets Custom Widths The quality overall is just better finishes are typically better with the forged wheel If you bend a lip its much easier to replace the lip then the whole wheel Cast also has its advantages as well. The main one being cost!! Id rock a set of Vortex anyday and spend the other 3gs on other mods. Not saying the DPE isnt worth the money, its just all personal preference

I recently purchased a set of VT908's (M3 Style 260) in Hyper Silver. The quality of the wheels and finish are great, but I have two concerns: 1) the ///M badges that came with the wheels have the wrong color pattern (i.e., the color of the "///" strips are in the wrong order - which is perhaps a minor item, but one has to wonder "why?") and 2) the center caps are a few mm's smaller than the centercaps on my OEM 161 wheels (and thus my OEM my center caps are too large (so when I want to replace them, OEM centercaps aren't an option ). Did you experience similar items? (Seems odd to mix such negatives with the great wheels.)
