Service/millege/warranty
Few questions that need answering as im confused
1. I have 2009 bmw 320d coupe, its got 8500miles from new, does it need a service? It says a few thousand left before service. 2. Having said the above, does time play a factor. I have 8500mile and ive owned the vehicle for 1yr now. Is it still up for service? 3. Should i just wait till the service indicator is up? It may well be another 6 months or so before i cover that kind of millege, will this effect my warranty? 4. How can service and timing possibly effect my warranty? Many thanks in advance. |

Not wanting to sound patronising, but why don't you read the manual? It's all in there!
Time and miles are taken into account, so just do what the car tells you and all will be well on the warranty front. |

If you take it into your local dealer they can print out when service items will need to be carried out, they just pop your key in a reader.

Get the car serviced as per the idrive but change the oil annually or more often if you do high mileage. Also remove the wheels asap and grease the hubs. BMW no longer grease them on the 'line and they can be a pain to remove if left too long.
