car feels very restrictive at WOT
I am running my 335 with a v4 and an intake at the moment
(other mods are in the garage). When i floor it, the car doesnt feel as fast as compared to say ..25-90% throttle. when i give it anywhere from 25%-90% throttle and hold it there for a sec, it feels as if i floored it but when i am at WOT it just doesn't feel as fast. i know the max boost is a little less on the v4 as opposed to the jb3, but it feels a lot better throughout the whole rev range except for when i floor it. can anybody elaborate on this? |

Boost drops somewhere soon after 6k. If it auto, holding it to the floor it wont shift till redline. 90% throttle will shift while you're still in the meat of the powerband.

that makes perfect sense. I read peak boost is 4-6000 rpm with the v4. So will keeping the throttle at 90% and not waiting to redline help me make a better run or not necessarily?

Not 100% sure as I haven't run the quarter in this car but from what I remember reading, but people who ran the fastest shifted before redline, before the boost dropped. Somewhere around 6.3kish. If you're AT, you also hold more boost during shifts.
