Any risk if water comes through a crack in the underbody engine sheild?
If the front bumper has been pulled a little bit, exposing a gap between the bumper and the underbody engine shield, and water ends up going through that gap (due to rain), can that be a problem?
I figure everything is well sealed and it wouldn't matter -- particularly because some folks even wash their engine bay. Just checking... I think that underbody engine shield is more for rocks or debris than water. Thanks. |

No. Our cars have other ways of water getting in.

It's mainly for aerodynamics (as mentioned before) and also to prevent kick up from road debris....and I guess water too but it's not a huge deal for a little bit of water to get in or debris for that matter. |
