335i DV's
Was wondering how many of you are running upgraded Diverter Valves? My buddy was riding in my car (I have an 07 sedan sport with a V5, UR Downpipes, FMIC, and drop in high flow air filter) He said it felt a tad "laggy " on the bottom and suggested I get upgraded DV's or a blow off kit. I can't stand the sound of the blow offs. I did some research and it does seem the stock DV's are good to around 12lbs of boost I'm assuming thats new condition(I have an 07). So would I need upgraded DV's?

Get a set of Forge DV's, gonna be better than what you have for shizzle. Although the stock should hold 14+.

I have Forge DVs. Pretty simple upgrade to insure your are holding boost. You may want to upgrade the charge pipe at the same time. I was hoping to get away with not needing to but it looks like I will be buying a charge pipe soon.

I am currently running a Stett Charge Pipe and Forged DV's, both in Black. The charge pipe on the stock car is cheap plastic and it did already crack on me. Stett sells a set for you. Most people say to get a Blow Off Valve however the N54 motor was designed to keep the air into the motor rather then fully release it.

What would I expect to see if the Stock DV's were not holding up? Things like lag, eratic power......etc. I was looking at a set "Hyperboost". Has anyone heard of or used these?

Hyperboost DVs look like Forge replicas. I know one guy on here (M3 Eater) advocates them in every thread but other than him, I don't know anyone else who runs these. They look good though.

You can get a set of Forge DVs used for around 140-150 shipped. I had them on my car, and to be honest, were a waste of money. Sold them and threw the stockers back on, never had a problem up to 19 psi. I believe Terry @ BMS did a test of the stock DVs up to 25 psi, and they had no issues holding up to that amount.
