Hi is it true by the videos on you tube etc that you can manually reser the brakes, oil, MOT etc yourself without having to go to a dealer like the older models ??

im guessing you mean both at the same time. I just had my car at the dealership for routine service and they didnt reset the computer. I checked this out a minute ago and had just the red car on the hoist and it was able to be reset.

I keep getting that message. 4 times in 2 months. Every time I bring it back to the dealer, they say my brakes are in specs. They visually measured and said they were ok too. This all started happening ever since they changed the front brakes a few months back. All they have done is reset the car software. Last time he said he had to do something special. I honestly think that I have a bad sensor and they won't replace it since it's out of warranty now. But they aren't trying to sell me brakes either, which is weird. So I just reset both brake warnings in the service menu and the lights went away. You can't reset the one that has the car on the hoist and have it reset the light. You have to reset the brake warnings individually and it will work.

The one on hoist mate means the sensor needs replacing, pads have worn too low, once sensor replaced you can do it all yourself. Reset all the lights.

Thats is not true...I had the red car on the hoist and brake indicator on my cluster and I just reset it by resetting the red car on hoist and then resetting the brake in the front and rear...Started the car and its all good
