Sorry, but these "how much do you pay for insurance" threads ain't worth shit.
Rates vary depending upon age, marital status, sex, driving experience, driving record, geographic area, vehicle use (pleasure vs commuting), multi policy deductions, claims history, and luck. BTW, Shipill, you pay a lot for insurance. I pay half that for both cars listed in my sig for myself and my wife. But again, my circumstances are different than yours. My wife is on mat leave, I have a company vehicle so neither car is used for commuting, etc. etc.

I'd say to shop around, but I know nothing of how Canadian car insurance works so maybe you're the norm

24, Single, TD Meloche Monnex, $247/Month, 1 car (328i Coupe), 1 name (mine).
Expected to drop to under $200 in October when I turn 25 and will still have a clean record...I hope. |

Getting insurance here seems like a lottery! I am currently paying shit loads (way more than shipill) for my 330xi, I renew next month and then somehow I've ended up paying less than last year for 2 cars instead of 1 (the wife got a car a few months ago) and individually (the policies are with different companies) I'll be paying under half of what I was last year.

2006 330i registered in my name.
32 years old. $250 / month. ICBC, like everyone else in BC. I just moved here and my insurance in Alberta was through Meloche Monnex (similar rate). I had one dumb at fault claim just over four years ago, so my discount from ICBC is only 20%, and hence the high rate. I skidded on some ice and rear-ended someone, literally at under 5 km / hour. I offered to pay for the damage to her vehicle but several days later she decided she had 'serious soft tissue damage' and went to town with the insurance claim. She also claimed there was $3,500 worth of damage to her car (a 1980s Nissan Sentra, I think). Completely my fault, but it's pretty sad when somone sees a small dent in her bumper as a winning lottery ticket.

My wife and I are both 30 years old. Fully insured are our 2007 E90 335I and 2005 E83 X3 3.0i. We pay $278 per month for coverage. Have been with Peace Hills Insurance for almost 15 years now, and have no claims within the past 10 years *touch wood*, and no tickets on record either.

if you want to find out which of the insurance companies will offer you the lowest rate (based on your INDIVIDUAL status) go to:
http://www.insurancehotline.com It's kind of of useless to post everyones rate online because there are to many variables/factors that determine your individual rate. However, I found that there is a HUGE difference between the insurance companies. BTW: I am with TD Home & Auto

27 / few speeding tickets / E90 330i / $110 a month TD Monnex / MY NAME and full coverage
I'm also paying $97 a month on a 06 Xterra with my wife on it. Might help that I'm getting multiple discounts like Post Secondary Grad, and Home/Car insurance discount.
