Got the strangest check engine error code today.
So I am driving to work today and my service engine soon light comes on. Odd, never has before. I go to my buddy's shop who has a code reader and it says it is a P0128 error, coolant temperature too low for regulating thermostat. This seems pretty odd to me since I drive the car pretty hard, it was 85 degrees out and I thought these cars don't have a stand-alone thermostat and was built into the water pump.
Anyone else have this error? Could the error have been for something else and the reader was wrong since it was not a BMW approved one just a OB2? |

I just got this error yesterday too when I was driving home. I hit a small bump in the road and then the light came on. I dont know if its a coincidence or just timely. I had previously unplugged the solenoid for my exhaust valve and figured this contributed to it. I plugged it back in but now I want the light to go away. I can feel a loss of power since its been on.
