JB4 Threw Codes
Need help with some codes that came up, and before I get flamed I did use the search button. I was travelling on the highway and was trying to pass a couple cars on the highway at almost WOT, but before I could the car showed me the service engine soon light and began to slow down. I pulled over put it in park (rough idle), turned off the car and restarted and went back to map 0. Read the codes through the speedo. It read out in the following order: 30, 29D1, 29D2, 29CC. I found some info on the last two 29D2 being misfire on cylinder 6 and 29CC being misfire on multiple cylinders. I don't know about the three zero and the 29D1.
Any help is appreciated I've scheduled service. I will be removing the JB4 before the service, but should I clear the codes or leave them for them to see what the issue is? THANKS IN ADVANCE! |

You probably read the code wrong and it was really 30FF -- low boost.

alot of n54s have a tendency to misfire when coils go bad. according to cobb website. i dont think its jb4. how is it running now on map 0? its definitely not carbon build up since u shellblasted recently because that can be another reason to misfire. let me know.

^ I know 66k seems low lol. I haven't ran map 0 in a long time but it seems fine when it's on map 0. The idle is smooth. I erased the codes and turned map 1 back on haven't wot yet though

Okay so after erasing the codes and going back to map 1, I went WOT 4-5 times and it didn't act up. You guys think it was a one time thing or should I just replace the sparks and plugs for cylinder 5 and 6?

It just occurred to me what the "30" means. The first thing the JB4 will do is show you how many codes are stored. The 30 simply means there are three.
