Trying to see if there is a high demand for these. If your interested please let me know
Thes will be made from dry carbon and will go over your factory shark fin. Cheers! Last edited by cyba; 11-06-2007 at 10:21 AM.. |

What are the intrinsic electro-magnetic properties of your carbon fiber fin?
Carbon is an electrical absorber, so using it as an antenna cover does not strike me as a good idea, but of course you may have designed it to be electrically transparent around 800 - 2400 MHz. |

only if you can make a piece of CF that can stick on the roof to make it like a CF roof to match the shark fin.
but again, quality comes first

I think someone tried this in the past and there were to many curves and angles on the fin to make it cost effective. That being said, Im willing to pay attention to where this thread goes.

How about a painted cap? CF fin install may be messy, unless there is a real good Do it yourself instructions. Also, that sheet metal on the roof is thin and unsupported, so if you happen to lean on it with the heal of your hand, then it is likely you would create a dent.

My guess is you would most likely have to have a slit in the CF, maybe in the back of the fin. I dont really see how you could get one solid piece to cover the whole thing. If you use 1 piece for all except for the back, then one just for the back that would be fine. |

It will be one solid piece very thin about 0.3mm in thickness. Each piece is CNC cut so they will be perfect fit. Price will be around $99 shipped.
Quality will be perfect gauranteed with no flaws at all. What do guys think about the price? Dry carbon does cost more than hand made we carbon. Here is a sample of dry carbon that I have for a different car. |

How can you get 1 piece of dry carbon fiber to wrap the entire shark fin however? its like trying to take a piece of cloth and wrapping it around a round object without any folds in the fabric. I'm not trying to insult / criticize, but i dont see how that is possible. |

Its going to be same size and shape as the OEM shark fin. Once the carbon piece goes over it the painted OEM shark fin wont be visible. Is that what your asking?
