I run the Hankooks, I'm happy with em. But I don't track my car.

Vs says that it's the hpfp. The code was low charge air. Since the fuel is low it's retarding (der der) everything thus why I get into Seth mode (limp mode). I knew I shouldn't of replaced the original. Goddamn. I replaced a perfectly good pump to get the free software update so the injectors wouldn't misfire and now I got a shitty one. Fuck me

DD with ~monthly autocross.
I saw a couple ////////Ms with V12s yesterday so they just popped into my head when thinking about new tires. Looking on tirerack now, it's nuts that the OEM runflats cost more than Hoosier R comps.

Gary I had the Hankooks on my 335i and thought they were excellent tires, regardless of price. They are very quiet, not loud, never heard that one. They are a tad less stable in turn in response compared to the Conti Contact 2's. which are more rigid in the sidewalls, but also wear much faster than the Hankooks. I would not hesitate buying them again, for track or street, I ran the hell of them at Autobahn no issues, and some big road trips in mountains pushing to limits.
For the money, they are a steal, you blow the rears and replace em for the price of 1 tire of other makes. I put 13K on em and they were wearing great though, besides the inside edge of the rears of course. I kept 36 front and 34 rear in em around town, 38 all in winter for pot holes, and 40 at the track once warmed up. |

my biggest complaint with the V12's wasn't grip, it was comfort. with my drop and wheels, it felt like I was permanently driving on a brick paved road

I don't mind rougher riding tires as long as they don't crash terribly over potholes/road imperfections like the RFTs do.

when you guys started modding your cars did you just accept that every $ you put it into it is never going to be recouped and selling the car in the future is going to be more difficult?
i think i just accepted that fact and i'm going to pull the trigger. right now i only have tints lol but i feel like i'm about to go crazy. i started a list of mods i'm thinking about and it's already >$8k. may the mods begin! |

The Hankooks were smoother than the Conti Contacts, felt great on highways and country roads, 100% better than the RFT, OMG those sucked in the city.
In regards to the mods, I think it all depends on what you do, how you do it, and what quality it is. I only added spoilers and aluminum pedals, which helped sell the car in the end. |
