VPP is the Vehicle Protection Plan, exterior and interior surface treatments but more importantly insurance should you spill something over or damage your interior, or some bird craps on your paintwork.

AlanIOW,

My dealer claim that it's the Jade Grey leather that they ran out of. Sounds a bit fishy to me also? I suspect they had a buyer and sold my car and are now building another. Going to try to get ipod cable to connect to my usb and phone cradle for free as compensation. They can only say no!

On my holiday's at the moment and got a great call from my dealer the other day, didn't mind the roaming charge either. Car has been brought forward a few weeks and will be at the dealer on the day I return from my holiday this friday! I need to get the insurance stuff done so I am aiming to collect it on Tuesday 4th June!

Can't wait!

I don't seem to be having any delays on mine.

Dealer just rang, my car should be arriving tomorrow, and I should be able to take delivery later on this week.

Ordered it 6 weeks ago today!

So you went for manual? Interesting, my dealer said he would be reluctant to recommend a manual 335i, and it is not a money issue!

Sorry to post, yet again! Spoke to my dealer today, they have no build slots at all for the E92 335i, I assume same for all 335i engined cars. He cannot tell me when I would get one, they are at the mercy of BMW UK to provide a build slot once the order is placed. Does this sound right? I have to say it cannot do any harm to 3351 residuals!

I want one so badly!

Sounds bad I'm not sure what the current situ is. It was sept/oct when i ordered 6 weeks ago. I'll ask at the dealer tomorrow when I go in.

My experience was as follows although through a leasing company:-

Ordered my wife a E92 320i Coupe at the beginning of April and was told by the leasing company to expect car around mid May. Every week we got updates on delivery, they all showed delivery to customer 18th May. We were happy with this on the 3rd May the date changed to Mid June! Called the leasing company and asked to speak to the dealer directly about the long delay. Phoned the BMW dealer directly on the 3rd May and could not believe it but the car had just entered Dealer stock. Delivery was arranged for 10th May.

Moral of the story - if you order through a leasing company make contact with the BMW dealer as well, our car would have sat as dealer stock for a further 4 weeks if we had not chased.

Spoke to the dealer this afternoon, he tells me that the issue with 335i's is that there is a quality control problem with the engine casings. Apparently quite a few are not passing the relevant QC in the factory before the engines are built.

I am up to see the dealer on Tuesday, he is trying to persuade me to try the 335d...... and is convinced I will be swayed!!
