Waiting for my car to leave Bremerhaven..
For anyone that's waiting for their car to leave Bremerhaven - do you have confirmation that your car is on the vessel AIDA? (east coast delivery) That vessel seems to be departing tomorrow, and I'm hoping my car is on there but my CA is unaware of how to check the vessel's name. My car's been at the port since September 5th or 6th.
If not AIDA, does anyone have information on their vessel's name that is expecting delivery in 2-3 weeks? This wait is difficult, but I think I can be more patient once I know its en route and not sitting at the port of exit! Edit: Just checked this morning on 2wglobal - my car has shipped and is somewhere in the North Sea now!! Now to wait 2 weeks + give or take a couple days and I'll be driving it. Psc ; I'll keep you updated...I'm in Chicago, I figured it would take 1-2 weeks from the point the ship docks until I see the car (customs/vpc/transport)
But if it comes sooner....score, I'm all for immediate satisfaction I wonder if they play music on the ship.... Quote:

That will be like 4 days after it comes off the dock. I wouldn't expect it to be available that quickly. In general it seems that it spends a few days at the prep center at least. Then a day or a few days in transit to your dealer. Then the dealer needs a day or so to get it ready for you. I'm in MA and not expecting for delivery to be any earlier than a week from this Thurs/Friday.

You just shattered my dream!
Hoping transit is short though, my dealership to the port is only about a 1.5 hour drive. But if it's towards the end of next week that's not too bad either. Already waited about 8 weeks, what's another week right? Occupying my anxiousness with buying some parts for it. Quote:

From your signature it looks like you already have an M3, is this your second one?? If so, can you share? haha.
Lots of little mods I want to do; bought front splitters, m3 trunk spoiler, black kidney grills. On the fence of buying a tune though, trying not to void any sort of warranty too soon. Quote:

Just for kicks.. I decided to call the hotline again to see where my car is on the status (I know it's at NY now). It says it's at the port of exit awaiting the shipping vessel, haha.
So for all you who pay all your attention to and rely on that phone message, my situation just goes to show you how accurate it is |

I did read that ED cars get held up in customs but hopefully that won't be the case for you! I actually received some of the items I purchased already, I hope I can install them next weekend. Bryan - mine actually says in transit to final destination or something, from when it shipped to the US. Doubt it's gonna change from that though haha. |
