iPhone iOS 5.0 Bluetooth
Is anyone having troubles with their bluetooth with the new iPhone software update? I have a 3GS and a 2007 e90. Never had any problems before, but it seems like I have to re-pair the car and the phone randomly when first getting into the car. Once its connected there are no problems during the drive.

Yeah once connected mine is fine, never have any problems with sound or anything else. Just keeps forgetting the previous connection that it had with my phone. Not sure if its the car or my phone.

I have a 3GS, updated to iOS 5, no issues.
Doesn't the iPhone 4S have version 4.0 of Bluetooth? I could see that creating issues, but you would think that 4.0 would be backwards compatible with devices that are not 4.0 compliant. |

I am thinking it is my phone, because my car is a 2007, so obviously I don't have streaming music option Instead I used a blackberry bluetooth puck plugged into my aux port. And it cannot keep the memory of pairing that either. But just waiting for the 4S to become available and will get that and hopefully it will resolve my issues.

iPhone 3GS after ios 5 upgrade - 2011 335i
The ipod feature in my 3gs worked fine with my car prior to the ios 5 upgrade. I would connect with the USB cable and choose External device in multimedia. Now, I no longer see a list of my songs, artists, etc. on my car's screen. I cannot control what is being played (it is playing random music from my music folder). Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks.
Follow-up: I was able to fix the issue by re-syncing the music on my iPhone in iTunes and then shutting down the phone and restarting it. After that, it worked in my car using the USB cable. Last edited by Robertsrj; 10-27-2011 at 09:43 AM.. Reason: Found Solution |

Mine works fine, clean install of iOS 5, iphone 4. Did the initial pairing and haven't had any problems since.
The 4s is backwards compatible with previous bluetooth standards. |
