BMW performence software upgrade for N55
Hello all, I am contemplating about the BMW performance software tuning stage one. Went to my local dealer in Canada they were quoting for two hours labour. My question would be is it what we normally should expect? Also is it worthy the money as release code is now going on sale till the end of this year as well as the tuning is covered by the warranty. Many thanks!

If you're talking about BMWs Performance Power Kit (PPK), I would say its worth it if you're looking to stay within warranty. Although I probably would not pay over $1000. I luckily got it for $685 labor and all out the door.
I for sure can tell the difference. I have the silly dynolicious app on my iPhone and my base stock 0-60 runs we're 5-5.1a few months ago. But last week messing around and just leaving the car in Drive I accomplished a 4.82 and a 4.91 with my girlfriend in car. Another benefit of the PPK, your exhaust note changes too. Well good luck on your decision. |

I test drove a 335x drive without the performance package and then I test drove one with the performance package! You can tell the difference and so I bought the one with the performance package. Is it worth it? Not if you want to get something with bigger boost and HP upgrade, if warrany is an issue go with Dinan stage 2 when it comes out next month (around $1700) so save the $600.0 and add $1100.00 to it and get Dinan... just my 2 cents.

$1700? Can you provide a link to that? I'd love to see what claims to do.
