Well it was a beautiful satuday night and NYc and i decide to show off a lil bit. So I was driving it really hard and pretty much trying to drift through the streets of New york. I kept pushing it and pushing it and got carried away. I dont thikn anything woulda broke, until I hit a pothole. I highly doubt it had anything to do with the mods, as the tech told me that the mods had absolutely nothin to do with it. Thats why they will cover it under warranty. What really happened was i was peeling off, pretty muchgoing sideways until I hit a pothole and heard a noise. And thats how it all happened. The car was going sideways when I hit a pothole and thats how the diff and axle broke. Thats the best description I can give about what happened that night.

Awesome, you type normal now...and not like a 14 year old asian girl trying to be cute in a chat room.. Good to hear, but i'd assume they'd blame ur procede for putting out too much power causing the axle to snap...

LoL, I just went through some of his past posts. Do that and youll get his driving style. Its all about launching and racing. Has nothing to do with PROcede.

Well it sounds like you were up front about the mods on your car since the tech said it wasn't from your mods.
Either the tech was cool about it or everyone is overly sensitive with Procede being left in the car. Either way Best Of Luck And Take That Drifting To The Track |

Yea I will have the tech take a look at the rim and tire. I bought the warranty for the wheel and tire so that shouldnt be a problem. Now I'm feeling better about purchasing the warranty.

Well, I feel better about the extra power not likely being the culprit for this damage, but it does still help point out a weak point in the car that could be a potential in the long run, given the extra power. |

Thanks Nasty, that explains what happened. I must say that I have been a bit concerned about how 'free' the rear axles are, resulting in a lot of axle tramp under power. Potholes are gnarly items for rear ends. With an open differential the wheel can accelerate rapidly when it's in open air, but then suddenly slam the differential when it hits the pavement again, all the while having to deal with bouncing up and down and getting wonked sideways. Not sure if an LSD would have saved the ring gear on this or not. This kind of torture happens all the time in Rallye, but the dirt/snow is usually a lot more forgiving than concrete. Regardless, this experience reaffirms my intent to tighten up the suspension as much as possible. Bilstein coilovers, H&R sways, strut and shock tower braces, LSD.
By the way, your SA and dealer rock. Darn supportive of them. Bake 'em some cookies. Nasty and Pushok, if you could find out the details about precisely what parts were damaged (and where on the part) that would be awesome. Post some pics and maybe someone will bake you guys some cookies.
