Sorry for not knowing, but what is a 335R? Love the front. Hoping you do the rear fenders to balance the rear end.

I may do the m3 rear, just not at the moment, JB4 has a feature that turns fuel gauge to the boost gauge, full is 20 psi, half is 10 psi, so I was boosting a bit over 3/4 of a tank, so about 16psi.

So the whole front m3 conversion + paint and install cost $3000??
Where did you source all your m3 parts needed for the conversion ?

Procede also does that. Each minor tick mark is 1psi. 1/2 tank = 10psi.

Looks great, my suggestion if you like the carbon Hood, I would do a Paint Fade, so it's mostly painted, but some fade to the carbon so it's more subtle, but again, that's my taste not yours I prefer to have my car a little more undercover Otherwise it looks great!

Thanks guys, i am glad that all that work didn't go to waste, I love the car alot but then again I would have to sell it some day. Boost was acting up at 155, not sure why its where i let go of gas and started to slow down. I got a few PMs about the cost, I did most of the work myself, and i have friends that paint and work at the body shop so I payed for labor way below market costs. Most parts were ordered from Reeves BMW in Tampa, their parts department is a pleasure to work with. And if you are registered with them as a dealer, you get 20% of retail cost. Here is a little break down:
Labor of installing and aligning was done by me so--- Free(most places would charge at least a $1000) Paint the parts and blend the doors --- $1000(most places wont touch it for less than $1500) Hood- $550, stock one is $600 Both front fenders $600 Front bumper $500 Clips, mounts, brackets, fender lights and misc parts $400 Radiator support $300 Side skirts $150 Rear bumper is Mtech so $400 Washer bottle $150, you need it, m3 fenders will not fit with the stock one add another $500 for little stuff that I forgot to mention like Plus CF parts(optional) Dukes Dynamics diffuser $300 Front Splitters $200 Kidneys $150 Total is $5200, plus the dealer visit to get a new battery and reset the lights and clear the codes $300, so roughly $5500.\ On top of that: VMR Wheels $1100 Michelin Pilot Sport tires $1000 H&R Sport Springs $50 JB4-$350 Cone intakes -$20 IC and mounting hardware - $350 DPs $200 Cutting the 2nd kittys out $50 Spending $15 on 5 gallons of E85, mixing 40/60 with 93 and running custom beta map from Terry... priceless Last edited by 335R; 01-23-2012 at 10:16 PM.. |
