not trying to pick a fight just curious how do think 19's look small? I mean if you think 20's look good thats another thing but to say 19's look small on a 3 series seems really odd since majority of members run 19's.

Opinions vary some guys prefer to buy rep's and cheap wheels then in turn complain how 19's bend, bottomline you get what you pay for like everything else in life. My point is I certainly wouldn't deter someone if you have not had both set up's. Hindsight is 20/20 i guess but I should have done the 20's all along!

the pic on my sig is sporting 20's, my tires were 245/30 front and 285/25 rear. 20's is just a personal preference. u can have some aggressive set of 18's and can look better than 19's or 20's

Thanks for this info man. Just got a e92 a month ago so havent had the chance to really do research on what sizes fit well. Hopefully i'll find a set of wheels here shortly

I'm pretty sure 20's on an M give you the same size sidewall as 19's on a non M. That's how it is on E46's and I'd assume it's the same case on e9x's. I think that's why they look better on M's.

Isn't your car more of a show car? How many miles do you have on it? 20's will have virtually no sidewall, if you don't daily drive your car it doesn't matter as much, but daily drive it and it doesn't matter what kind of rims you have, they will bend. I've seen oem BMW 18's bend, and those wheels were heavy and definitely not weak.

Yea my 18's got bent pretty significantly... But I see a positive future with some nice 20's hopefully

But on a 335i with stock ugly brakes and without the fender flare 20's are difficult to pull off and sometimes looks a little ricey with the extreme tuck...

that being said Craig's heavily modded 335i pulls them off supremely.. 6k wheels, 1k Vorsteiner lip, M3 skirts, BBK and drilled rotors definitely helps dress up that wheel well and surrounding areas nicely lol.

Moral of my story, if you want to go big with 20's surround it with some necessary mods...

because the lip around the fender arches on m3's are smaller

also, don't m3s take a larger sidewall?
