Trading in finance for a lease
Ive been thinking about an issue lately and I wanted your guys opinions on it since I come here for all my car related inquiry's lol. I'm currently financing a 08 328xi with 17,600 on it. I always wanted the 335i convertible or the 135i but I jumped on the 328xi because I had an opportunity that was kind of hard to pass up on. What's your guys opinion on trading in my 328xi for a leased 335i convertible? I'm paying $515 a month and I need the payments to be the same price or lower

I'm about to trade my purchased CPO 335i vert for a new F30 335i lease, payments will be a bit lower. At the end of the day it's whether you are OK with the limitations (and advantages) of a lease.

That makes sense. I would do the same if I could. So, with negative equity and no money down towards the lease, how the heck did your payments become lower? lol. That sounds like a pretty good deal albeit the equity loss.

good credit + good (and long) negotiation It all comes down to negotiated priced + getting the base (lowest?) money factor + getting the most back on your trade in + tax rate in Texas is low (especially considering the trade in).
They promised me base money factor but when I got there the numbers weren't adding up - turns out they <accidently> put the marked up money factor in the system. I had to get to the financial guys computer to figure it out and then they fixed it. Make sure you understand a lease and can do the calculations in your head, if not on your phone/ipad when you go in. My lease payment from their first offer on the car and the final payment I got was a difference of over $125/month. |
