E90 M Sport Exhaust - polish?

My E90 335d exhaust pipes are definitely not shiny chrome. They have a fairly matt satin finish.

As for E93 build March 2007 onwards the exhaust tips are satin finnish, may be the same for others etc. E90. E91 and E92. My
consern is the black carbon build up on bottom of each tip which I have to clean of on a regular basis.
