so what hp is the 330i now then?

i have just taken delivery of a 330i m-sport coupe and according to the dealer it has the 272HP output as stated on the bmw car configurator. my car was built Jun07 according to the sticker stuck to the underside of the bonnet.

i had the N52 258bhp 3.0i lump in my previous 530i m-sport and have to say visually the engine in the 330 looks different...ok it might just be the different cosmetic panels but it certainly feels more potent than the 530i and thats even after allowing for the difference in car weight / size.....

Coupes had the DI engine (and fuel pump issues) from launch, the saloon and touring are about to get them.

The coupes (E92) had the same 3.0i engine as the E90, just increased HP and torque (272hp/315NM).

The convertibles (E93) had the DI 3.0i engine from the start (272hp/320NM).
The DI engine in the E93's also have a slightly higher compression ratio.

Summary: Coupes are getting the 3.0i DI engines for MY 2008.

whats my 2008? thought the e92 already had the 272bhp ones just the e90 that had 258?

MY = Model Year

As I said in my previous post, the E92 has the 272 HP engine, but it's not the DI version, it is just a tuned up version of the E90 engine.
