Need you're advice on 2007 Vs 2008 328i sedan

Hi Everyone
I want to buy a standard 328i , graphite sparkiling metallic, stick shift. I went to the dealer(s) and they have said they dont have any in stock so i have an option to order the 2008 or they could send a modification order on one of the 328i 2007 which are already on the assembly line to be modified to my specs. THe dealer is saying he can give me 200 over invoice for the 2007. But for the 2008 he says he'll charge 1000 over invoice.
Does anyone know if BMW has upgraded anything - engine , body on the 2008...cause if its the exact same car, I'd rather save my money and ask for the 2007.
Thank you for your time
-Best

well finding that car shouldnt be very hard, i would say try another dealership or ask your dealer if they can find it somewhere else and have it transfered, i would assume they would have already tried this but i cant imagine that they couldnt find that car

if it really doesnt exist then there are pros and cons of buying a 07 and 08, 07 will be cheaper, but the 08 will have better resale value when you choose to sell so its up to you but as far as i know there arent changes

thank you much esbezee92
The dealers did try to find it through their inventory management s.w. But none of them could. I thought the same about the resale value. I dont know how much 1 year shall affect the price. My basic concern is that if there is no difference in any feature b.w the 2007 and 2008, I dont see the point in paying 1000 more and waiting another month too. Thanks for your reply.

MY 2008 changes:

All models are available with paddle shifters now as long as you get sport and auto, (this is new for the 328). The 328 will come standard with chrome exhaust tips. The 328 16" wheel gets replaced with a new standard wheel (style 268).

IMO, track down a 2007 and pocket the difference.
