I just hit 142,000 and intend I driving my E92 as long! Great write up and many more happy miles... to the OP... any recommendations for a lift at home? WOuld love to set that up with air tools as you have.

Great story OP. Truly inspiring. I have a question about the VANOS solenoids....is this something I should have done at the dealership? Any idea how much it would cost?
I'm at 80k in my 330i

I usually keep my cars 4-5 years. I just traded in my BMW 545i with 106K mile. My E92 335i is going strong so far (knock on wood) I have 67K miles and one year left on warranty. I am planing on keeping it well past 100K hoping to get it to 200K.
The amazing thing is I love my car even more today then when I first bougt it. This because I have done certain cosmetic and performance mods to it that make it that much more special to me.

Have an indy do it for you. I doubt a dealer would even bother. They'd replace the parts rather than clean and swap them.
