Liqui moly oil try it
Interesting review
Since having my car new in 2006 I have tried various oils. Total, Oem bmw! Mobile 1, and Liqui Moly. Now while having a catch can over the years and also taking it out, with reviews of crankcase pressure. Here is what came to light. All of the oils went low, as in I would need to top up about 500ml between a 5000km oil change except the Moly. This is now my second oil Change on the Moly and the oil gauge meter has not moved since done. Keep in mind I run my car at 19 psi also. Catch can is long gone gone and Liqui Moly is now my choice, try it, I did not think this was even possible since I always topped up oil between oil changes. |

If you are in Scarborough - (just north of) Lawrence & Kennedy or http://www.wunderkar.com/fluids.html I personally use Motul (out of my own pocket oil change). Otherwise, Castrol for the dealership (No charge Maint.) |

Hi,
Never used AGIP. Just Motul X-Cess 5w40. It's LL-01 which is what we are recommended of using. LL-04 is okay too (which is X-Clean) but given that N.A.'s gasoline has more sulphur (unlike European models), it a bit better to use LL-01. I get mine from here. Cheapest in GTA. $40 all taxes incl. http://www.igarage.ca/ |

Again Thanks for your recommendation was about to go to parts source and get that AGIP stuff, plus the Mann oil filter, Do they have those filters there too. Will be my first DIY oil change, no more freebies from BMW.

I get all this stuff from Precision Tuning (Keele/Langstaff), for those in GTA.
I've had no problems using LL-04 Lubro Moly for years. |

OEM oil just seems to burn/evaporate. You will most likely have to top up between oil changes. Difference in chemical composition i can not comment on.

You are not suppost to use LL 04 oil in our engine or any spark ignition engine outside of Europe. Look at BMW bullitin
