BC Racing Coil Long Term Result
BC Racing Coil Users,
I was calling around yesterday for installation quotes on coilovers. Talked to a reputable shop (quoted $773, WOW) and the person recommended I do not purchase BC Racing Coil. He told me the long term durability of this coil is not very good. The coil would start to make “noises” within 12 months. Anyone on here has this coils over a year? Any long term issue with this coil? Thanks.

Double the installation cost when looking at cheap coilovers; once to install them, and once again to put your stock dampers/springs back in when they start leaking before the year's out. You get what you pay for. Spend a bit more and at least get some KW's.

I have BC's on my other car, an Infiniti FX. Bought them used with about 8K on them. Have used them for another 10K so far. No issues with reliability yet. No weird noises, dampers still work fine and adjust. The spring perches still adjust fine and haven't siezed up. This is on a car much heavier than a 3 series and its dropped pretty low. Are they as good as the V3's I have on the 335? No, but they are reliable and don't cost nearly as much.
