Changing Tail lights to LCI question..Replace Footwell Module?
I just bought LCI tails for my 07 e92 from BMW of Morristown
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161018217539...S:1123&vxp=mtr In their description, they noted I need to replace the Footwell module. Is that right? I thought other than coding, nothing else needs to be done. Quote:

Pretty sure it was initially thought that a new module was required on early 07 and older models, but I think that was all sorted out and coding is the only thing necessary now.

You will need the (2) adapter harnesses - they simply convert the existing style connectors that went to your old tails to the new style connector on the LCI tails.
New FRM was not necessary on my 09' - just coded out all the Cold/Warm bulb checks & Error Reporting for rear lights. Not 100% sure about 07' - seems that year has differences than later cars for many aspects, but I'm gonna say that coding is all that is necessary... Even with a new FRM3 - you will need to code the actual new module to your car so it recognizes it. Dealers will always state that you need the new FRM3 - for one because they can get more $$, & for another, they can't code individual lines as we do with cable & INPA/NCSExpert

Yup, coding out the warm/cold bulb tests is all that's required on any pre-lci E92.

I think searching would have given you an answer in 30 seconds. Coding is the only thing you'll need (assuming it comes with the adapter harnesses).
