anyone with golf tee AND muffler delete?
I currently have the exhaust valve un-plug mod (golf tee). I was thinking about doing a muffler delete. If I do the muffler delete, do you guys think I should plug the valve back in? If it's left unplugged, will it be even louder?
Does anyone currently have both the golf tee mod with a muffler delete and how does it sound? I don't want the car to be super loud and drone-y but I do want my car to sound a bit more "exotic".

the valve flap is controlled by a unit on the side of the muffler (driver's side)

it's possible you could keep the stock tips w/ muffler delete, might make it a little more livable... I must be old though, golf tee on e92 is louder than I'd like, too loud on freeway... dead stock too quiet though.
For this to work you would need a crossover pipe somewhere in the exhaust. |

So I was reading on back pressure if I do a muffler delete and how it'll affect torque at low end RPMs. Would a resonator delete be better for n54?

I plan to keep the cats all in. Removing both cats is illegal in cali from my understanding as it won't pass emissions. Just want a louder exhaust without having to drop $1k just for sound....
