I believe it's actually the secondary cats on the e90 that the e92 does not have that tone it down. I'd keep the crossover personally. So are we talking sound inside the car or outside from a crappy phone in what looks like rain?
If you bury the car (ours don't like it anyways) at low RPM or rip on it on wet pavement the sound can get a little tinny from the outside. Inside it's fine, you can't really tell it's not an OEM exhaust inside unless I am on it and that's with Catless DPs. I'll grab a video. |

Thank you, guys. I have catless DPs already(VRSF) and Vanguard installed but will be looking for a stock e90 exhaust(sold mine, what an irony lol). That is probably why e92 PE is cheaper than e90-because of the cross section?

Honestly your quest for finding a good Sounding exhaust is admirable but so far there's no exhaust I have ever hear that does this car justice they all kinda sound "ehh"
I have an rpi I thinks it's okay but in my years if hearing exhausts there's nothing that sounds great when u compare the car to the sound of The m3 or any v8 for that matter |

Now this I agree with. In the grand scheme of things the cars don't sound that great. That being said an e90 with catless DP's and PE is in my opinion the best mix. Not too loud, not too quiet.

i have a rennart exhaust that i will sell for pennies... it sounds clean as possinle, zero rasp , not one smidge of it, but i had to ditch it bc i needed secondary cats with the baby coming who will occasionally be in the car.
i gotta ass resonators for sure, that video of the grey mtech car def represents the high rpm rasp... but the low speed partial throttle, cruising with zero drone, nice gurgles make it worth it.. If i can eliminate 1/2 the rasp id be 100 percent satisfied.

all the exhaust videos you see sound different because of the recording differences I personally think most the 335 exhausts change so little between brands my exhaust is 2k and it sounds the same as stock without the rasp lol money well spent?
put a good song on and a bad ass blow off lol im telling you after buying 2 exhausts and wasting money don't make my mistake |
