Huper Optik Ceramic Tint Group Buy - Socal
How many people would be interested in getting HO for $400 (possibly cheaper). HO is typically $475-500. He also has Madico film for 1/2 price. He says it's not metallic or dye based and guarantees it for life against fading/bubbling. |

I might be, though I've heard you can get HO for about $350 - $375 in L.A., which is closer to me anyway.
(from the True Southern California).

I think there was 1 member that posted some pix of their HO.
The tintshop is WinTek in Costa Mesa. They've been tinting for over 20 years. They were recommended by the HO headquarter rep. Back is single piece and they won't take apart your car to tint below the gasket. |

I'm interested as long as they are recommended by huper optik.
When I was looking for a tint shop for huper optik, I found out there's very few in socal who can handle huper optik tint like Song's tint in LA, and Perfect tint in Costa mesa. Does they have many experiences dealing with Huper optik? |

ok. Salvador won't do HO for $400 (coupe price). $450 is his GB price for a sedan $350 for coupe. He has over 20 years of tint experience and has been tinting with HO ever since it was introduced in the US 6 years ago. He knows the owner of Song's tint and said he does good work. He doubted that Han (Song's) would do HO on a sedan for $375 and said that was probably the coupe price.
He will do Madico for $200. The big advantage HO ceramic offers over conventional is better heat rejection. Lifetime warranty on both films against fading, bubbling, etc.. If you own a light colored car and just want the tinted look, conventional is probably the way to go. If your primary concern is heat rejection than you should get HO. Ceramic is significantly more expensive because the film itself costs 4x more than conventional film. It is also a thicker film that's harder to work with. You need special tools and lots of experience to do it right (no ghosting, bubbling, particles under film). HO takes about 3 hours to do compared to the 1.5 hours for conventional. The back is single piece and he's able to do the dot matrix perfectly 95% of the time. UPDATE: Called Han at Song's Tint and he quoted me $475 for HO. $440 for a 5 car GB. The $375 price is an obsolete price due to film cost increases over the past 4 years. Han sounds like an awesome person to deal with tho. Last edited by zzzzzzzzzv; 01-23-2006 at 05:46 PM.. |

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...nt+los+angeles According to this thread above, it looks like there's another place in Costa Mesa called Perfect Tint and they charge $475. Looks like they used to do housecalls too, but no more. Hey zzzzzzv, want to see how much Perfect Tint will do a GB discount for?

Perfect tint is the place I mentioned on my previous post. I remember I called them like 2 months ago, and their price was not cheaper at all. They seems to have good reputation tho.
So, who would you end up going with? Think Song's tint sounds okay for huper optik GB. |

hey aphall we might be on the same boat. my car comes mid feb as well. in fact, my car is black on black too.
to get the group discount at Song's we need 5 cars all at once. So far it doesn't look like there is too much interest.. I have 2 friends that want to go to Wintech for madico. W doesn't require us all to pay together so we could get the 450 price whenever. |

If you're black on black, what HO are you thinking of? HO 40 looks dark enough in John5's pictures, and may look darker with black on black. I can't believe there aren't more that are interested. Maybe not enough So-Cal folks here, or maybe... ceramic is too expensive?
