Paint roof black or not?
Had some dents on my AW e90 335i roof so took it to the shop for fixing. Turns out my whole roof will need repainting. So I have an option- paint it black or keep it white. I'm stuck, both look nice! Kind of leaning towards black, but worried about resale value.
What do u guys think?? |

I would have it re painted to match the AW and then wrap it in black or carbon, wrap is always removable if your worried about resale as I would be too, customize it for yourself with wrap its always reversible. Just my .02 cents

I'd have it done in black.
It looks so great on alpine white cars. if you're worried about resale value, another option would be haviing it done in white, then wrapping it in black vinyl, but to be honest, if you sell it privately I doubt you'd have any problems with value. I sort of even doubt if you traded it in that anyone would say anything - but don't take my word for it, obviously.

If you're planning to keep the car for a long time, paint it. Otherwise play it safe and use vinyl.
I think this topic has been discuss a lot recently..

Make sure you don't wrap it with carbon fiber, matte roof looks disgusting on a glossy car.
If you have a sun roof, only option is to wrap it in gloss black so it looks like it is one piece. But yeah, gloss black roof works with any color. |
