Where can I get the PBA Shields for the windshield in Jersey
Whenever i see these guys with the PBA or FOP shield on there cars I asked them were they get it. They always just say on the internet. They say you get the shield, plus a couple of PBA cards depending on how much you donate.
Does anyone know where I can get these for NJ? Perhaps the site? |

YOU CAN ONLY GET A PBA CARD FROM AN OFFICER, THE PBA CARD WILL HAVE HIS/HER NAME BADGE # AND PREC ON IT, YOU BETTER HAVE OBTAINED IN THROUGH THAT OFFICER BECUASE IF YOU USE IT WITHOUT THERE KNOWLEDGE IT IS ACTUALLY A FELONY. YOU CAN GET FOB.. FRATERNAL ORDER OF BROTHERHOOD STICKER BY DONATING AS LIITLE AS $20. BUT THEY ARE WORTHLESS.

To tell you the truth, I got out of some minor offenses (running a red, speeding in a 25) but I also have gotten pulled over, just because they wanted to see if I had I'D for the FOP shield. There are a lot of stolen ones being sold, and their trying to cut down on the stolen ones. I heard the cops even set up fake auctions on ebay to catch people trying to buy stolen ones. So be careful.

In nj there are two types of shields. One that you can buy for $100 in newark and one that you get from an officer. the ones you get from a member of the FOP/PBA will have id cards. the $100 ones don't.

I'm basing it on what people tell me, including cops. They know the difference between the two. My friend has the FOP badge w/ id card and he gets much love. The best thing to have when ya get pulled over in Jersey is a good attitude. |

+1 completely agree. I've been pretty lucky with speeding tickets (touch wood) and I think a lot of that had to do with my attitude. That being said, I have encountered my fair share of "not so nice" cops as well....especially in Jersey. I've got a cobra radar detector but that's still not enough. I had the PBA card but that's expired. I wanted one of those FOP shield's but realized it's prob not going to make much of a difference

/\ he let out the secret...way to go! lol like someone else said, you can get FOP from newark, but you have to donate yearly. its 100 first time 25 every year. i just took off the sticker that has the date and i havent been bothered. PBA is much harder you must know a cop or have one in your family. i have both a FOP shield and a pba card so im good to go..
