Installing coilovers soon
Hey all,
I just ordered a set of KW V1 coilovers and I am planning to tackle the install in the near future. I was wondering if anyone in the greater Seattle area has done this before and might have the specialty tools needed for this. If someone does could I perhaps borrow them? I am specifically looking for the spreader tool for the front shocks and the special socket for the strut top nut that is open so you can hold the rod while torquing. I will also need a spring compressor but I know I can rent that from the local parts store pretty easy. Also, I am looking for some recommendations for getting the alignment done after the install. I would love to find a place that offers lifetime alignments but I know that is not likely. Let me know. I am pretty stoked to get these installed.

Well in case anyone is curious, I just got an email from Strictly BMW to install the coils. They quoted 12 hours at $109/hour just for the install!!! That works out to $1308 which is, I might point out, more than I paid for the coilovers themselves!!! I think I will be doing this install myself for sure.
