Doesn't fully work with iPhone 5s
I just got my WMA1000 today. It works perfectly with my old 4S & iPad 2. Unfortunately, it only partially works with my new iPhone 5s. The car recognizes that it's hooked up to an iPod and the music plays, but there is no track information and you cannot use the steering wheel controls. I assumed since the specs said iPhone 5 and the 5s had JUST come out it would work, but I was wrong.

You can try either of the following. Reset all settings - Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings [It should say the following (This will reset all settings. No data or media will be deleted.)]
Or Hold the top power button and the home button until the Apple logo appears. Also, I read that their is an issue with Bluetooth on the 64bit iOS 7 (iPhone 5s), iOS 7.1 is supposed to fix it when they release it (that May or may not fix your issue). Hope you get it going, I tested it with my friend's 5s when it first came out and it worked then. |

There is supposed to a firmware update for the WMA1000 on their website that supports the 5 and 5s. Make sure it's the latest firmware. My 5s works flawlessly. It actually works the same as my 4s worked when it was plugged directly into the Y adaptor.

Hi all. I've been using the WMA1000 with the Y-cable on my 2008 build LCI and noticed that, like what others have said, you need the 3.5mm audio cable plugged into the aux input. Is there any way to use this device to send the audio via the USB only? I know I can plug in a USB device to play music - but can I get the bluetooth tune2air to send the audio via the USB input in the car?
Basically I'm trying to work out if its the Y cable that splits the audio to the 3.5mm audio cable or the tune2air. Thanks all. |

Oh, make sure before you do this that your car at least works with an iphone/ipod plugged only into USB. If it doesn't the WMA2000 is not for you. |

I don't think that you need a USB port to stream through bluetooth, if you get an adapter like this: http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Bluetoo.../dp/B004CLYJ2I

The phone can connect to multiple Bluetooth devices at a time. Mine connects to the WMA1000 and car and switches between music/calls automatically and seamlessly.

Perhaps it's the case that combox cars still support the legacy Y cable architecture for the sake of older iPods, in which case either will work, but I don't know if that's true. And regardless, unless you have a combox, you must use the Y cable and WMA1000

Question for you guys: When you listen to music then shut off the car then return to the car, does it just pick up the music where it left off? I listen to Sirius and I have to manually pause the music when I shut off the car, then push play when I come back. I know I'm being picky, but I'd like to know you're experience.

HI,
That depends if Sirius remains the focus music app. If you turn off your car and go about your business and then comeback, you can see if Sirius is still the focus music app by looking at the music buttons and see if it still shows your last song. Your phone will default back to the regular music app which means you loose the last song played on Sirius. Its not an issue with the Tune2Air, its more to do with the phone. Hope that helps. |
