Auto Jolt
Hi all after doing a search I found something regarding a SIB
When driving my 07 325d m sport auto with the foot on the brake in drive after releasing the brake the car jolts as though the torque converter is on the way out.. My question is this where do I stand with my local BMW dealer as the SIB states On a customer complaint basis only, check the vehicle's integration level. In such a case, on a customer complaint basis only, deactivate the NIC function by performing the "Converter lockup clutch" retrofit, using the current Progman/ISTA P version. WARRANTY INFORMATION Covered under the terms of the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty. In other words do I have to pay or more importantly do I have a leg to stand on so to speak? Many Many thanks in advance. Colin. |

Yes it does. Once the lights or car in front moves I release the brake and before I
can use the throttle or maybe I know it jolts so wait before moving the throttle? If I knock it out of drive and put it back in it doesn't do it likewise in DS it won't do it either. Cheers Colin. Last edited by cwmitch; 02-06-2014 at 01:02 AM.. Reason: grammer |

Odd! Is there a visible leak? Check the fluid level?
Mine does it occasionally in slow moving traffic or if I quickly change from braking to accelerating, for example slowing for a roundabout then darting out. Bit disconcerting when northing happens for a split second then bang, you're off. Sounds a bit different to yours? Mines being looked at this week |

Mine does it from cold but once warm it seems to sort it's self out
that's why I thought it was the condition the SIC described? Good luck with yours Colin. |
