Snow/foam Lance recommendations
I'm going to give my car it's 1st wash n wax tomorrow(weather permitting), I've bought a Karcher jet wash but need a snow/foam Lance, can anyone recommend one please?? I was going to get the Karcher one but I read a review saying it was rubbish, it's only £16 in wickes so might take a punt on it if push comes to shove.
With the lance, is it just a case of putting the shampoo into the container and that's it?? I've never used a lance before Will hopefully get some pics up of my car tomorrow, I've yet to post any since I got it 3 weeks ago

Have a look on detailing world if you haven't already. Loads of info on there and a great deal on the kit too.

Thanks, 2 great links, is there anywhere I could buy either of them Lances over the counter?? If not, guess I'll just have to stick with the old fashioned way for the time being and get my order in pronto.
Sparky, do you use the products you linked?? Unable to decide which one to go for

I bought my snow foam lance from Autobrite and bought this one (with a Karcher fitting) and some Magifoam:
http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/ind...onnectors.html Really happy with it. Here is mine after 10 mins or so dwelling: There is a special buy thing on the Detailling World website.

The lances are all pretty much the same from the traders online. I've had one from i4detailing for about 6 years now and it's still going strong.
I've tried the majority of snow foams and the best imo are Autosmart Ultramousse or Espuma Activo. Remember thicker foam doesn't necessarily mean it's better. AS Ultramousse having been left to dwell for 15-20 minutes...

+ 1 for Autobrite and Magifoam.
Great combo works superb and highly rated on Detailing World. I use this regularly in winter to avoid using bucket and mitt. Minimises the potential for swirls. Magifoam is great too tried a few others but always come back to it as it's so good. |

So am I right in thinking with this snow foam and lance you don't actually physically touch the car to wash it? Spray it on leave it and wash it off?

2BM - Two Bucket Method...
One bucket for suds, one bucket with pure water for rinsing (lambs wool mitt, no sponge!!!) after wiping a panel on the car. Reason for this method is Less gritt massaged into paint = less swirls

Just a heads up as we head into the summer "cleaning season"...
The Autobrite snow foam deals are still going strong. I just ordered deal 2. Should be with me on Thursday. WM |

I got my lance and snowfoam from autobrite, seems great, the only problem I have is that when I am snow foaming the car, I end up covering everything else around the place in it also, I have turned the nozzle so it's at a point where I minimise the mess, but just wondering if anyone else has a similar problem??

I tend to use the normal Karcher lance to remove all of the excess snow foam left on my driveway (also gives the driveway a clean too )
